Online Backup Service IDrive Introduces Web-based Backup Management and Desktop Search Tools

Leading online backup service IDrive recently announced a comprehensive web based Backup Management toolset that includes tools for managing Backup Set, Schedule and Logs for the backups via a standard web browser interface from anywhere. As a bonus, it even allows an optional Desktop Search via web.

This lets users directly edit their backup sets (a collection of files/folders that are required for backup) and set scheduling parameters including frequency and notification. This puts them essentially in control of their critical backup activities - even on the go. This also lets an administrator manage backups for a branch office computers from a central console via web.

As an added bonus, the tools also optionally let users execute web based desktop search. Users will have fast access to their PC Data either via the backups or by direct access to their desktop via desktop search from anywhere, via web.
